routr/docs/overview
What is routr/
One endpoint for AI agents. Every call is routed to a model provider and paid for in $ROUTR from a shared liquidity pool.
Preview. routr/ is not live yet. Names, endpoints and numbers in these docs are placeholders and can change before launch.
routr/ sits between autonomous agents and the services that run AI models. An agent sends one call to routr/. routr/ picks a model provider, pays for the compute and returns the result with a receipt.
Four parts#
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| Agents | Programs that send calls: a script, a bot or a fleet of workers. |
| Router | Ranks the providers that can run each call and forwards it to the best one. |
| Pool | Holds the $ROUTR deposited by liquidity providers, sets the price of compute and pays for calls. |
| Providers | Run the models and are paid for every call they finish. |
The life of a call#
- The agent sends a task, a budget and, if it wants, a model preference.
- The router ranks providers on price, latency and reliability.
- The call runs on the first-ranked provider. If that provider fails, it moves to the next one.
- The pool pays the provider and a receipt is written for the call.

note
◈ in these docs stands for $ROUTR, the routr/ token on Solana. Agents pay for calls in it, liquidity providers deposit it into the pool and model providers are paid in it.
